About

Major: Biopsychology, English minor

Why did you want to be a Health Equity intern?

I wanted to become a Health Equity Intern because I’m deeply passionate about healthcare and about helping marginalized students navigate the challenges of the system in any way I can. As a pre-med Biopsychology major, I’ve gained a strong understanding of the biological and psychological aspects of health and disease, which has only reinforced my belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right that everyone deserves access to. I want to empower my peers with the knowledge and resources they need to confidently navigate the healthcare system. By educating students about their insurance options and addressing their healthcare concerns, I hope to help them better understand their benefits, encourage more students to seek preventive care, and ultimately reduce the need for more serious interventions later on.
