Why did you want to become and H&W intern?

I am an advocate for a holistic educational experience, and I believe that personal wellbeing is a commonly overlooked aspect of college life. Especially after my experience in the Safer Sex Peers program and working in various capacities with Residential & Community Living here at UCSB, I realized that destigmatizing sex education is significantly impactful to our community. During my time as an intern, I hope to educate students about boundaries, how to communicate properly in sensitive situations, and to destigmatize talking about sex and sexual health while students are in a critical period of development and growth.
